Dogs with floppy ears are often used as sniffer dogs: With their long ears, they swirl up particles lying on the ground and sniff out scents. But in other situations, the long ears of Bassets and Cocker Spaniels can also be annoying. If the dog’s ears are so long that they hang in the food or water bowl when eating or drinking, a suitable dog bowl is needed:
The bowl for long-eared dogs is narrow and has a high rim. This allows the animal to eat and drink comfortably: the dog’s ears remain outside the bowl and therefore stay clean. Also, the food or water will not be contaminated.
