PET STOP WINS BEST INDEPENDENT RETAILER AT NATIONAL PET INDUSTRY FEDERATION AWARDS

On Thursday 9 November 2023 the team at PET STOP celebrated receiving the highest accolade at the PIF Awards winning Best Independent Retailer.

We were nominated and selected as one of the top six Finalists across the UK back in September. Since then then team has been waiting patiently for this event and the results.

Pet Stop was set up by owner Paula Machin in May 2017. The vision for the business was and continues to be to provide pet care essentials and stock brands not found on the supermarket shelves.

The business has gone from strength to strength and attracts local customers and as far as Leicester and Rutland. Pet Stop has a wide range of pet products including raw food, dry food to beds. We also have one of the largest ranges of harnesses in the area with experienced staff to offer free fitting.

On our win Paula owner of Pet Stop commented: “I’m absolutely over the moon, and very proud of the team. As a business we have tried our best to be innovative sourcing different stock. Then last year launching our loyalty card, then a new website and refreshed brand. This year we’ve had a shop refit to open up more space too. Most recently we have launched a series of dog walks in partnership with a local magazine to inspire our dog owners with new local walks. It’s so important to us to keep fresh so our customers and their pets love coming back to see us.”

Paula commented on next year’s plans: “Next year we plan to bring more exciting ways to shop with us.”
